One of the greatest advantages of “Western Union”, that it isn’t necessary to have an account for doing the operation with the remittance. For getting the remittance you must know only the address of the person who sent you money and the MTCN (Money Transfer Control Number). Just therefore “Western Union” became the favorite system of remittances for the Russian scammers. In this case it is impossible to identify the scammer. It only checks the passport and the coincidence of the addressee’s name and surname.
Something from the history: “Western Union” is the first company which offered its services of the remittance and sending electronic messages. It has been a leader in this sphere for 150 years. Nowadays “Western Union” helps physical persons to do the remittances. The company’s clients can easily and quickly send and get money in more than 245 000 places of services in 200 countries of the world. Every year “Western Union” sends more than quarter of billion remittances. That fact, that in 2002 the income of “Western Union” was equal almost two billions dollars USA, testifies that the company is the leader in remittance’s sphere. You send the remittance to one person, but it can get everybody, who has the same name and surname and knows the secret code. Naturally, the remittance gets the woman, who works together with scammers. Just her name and surname write scammers. If you see in the Internet the same photo, but with other name, it means that only the woman, who gets your money in “Western Union” changed. Everything is easy, isn’t it? “Western Union” warns its users of the system about possible swindlers and tries to reduce the percent of the remittances to the swindlers. The last decision to send or not to send money depends only on this person, who sends money.
You must always remember that under no circumstances you mustn’t send money to unknown person and to person, whom you can’t check!
Using these simple rules, you will always keep the situation under control. Every year, only USA loose hundreds thousands dollars because of Russian scammers. This is big money, which keep not only the scammers. There are also dishonest operators “Western Union” in Russia, who steal money, which Russian scammers remit. They take an opportunity that scammers can’t start to find out what was happened and where is the remittance. So, even scammers can be deceived.
Anyway your money can appear everywhere, if you don’t follow the simple rule. Don’t forget that this rule apply not only to “Western Union”. There are different systems for example, “Money Gram”. This system is like “Western Union” by its characteristics, but in many cases it is used in USA. So, always be careful and don’t let to deceive you.
